HMU API is a multi-tenant programmable inbox platform. Each user gets a namespaced set of API endpoints that accept structured messages from people, AI agents, and automations. The service includes message delivery, sender verification, AI-powered scoring, and a web dashboard for managing inbound messages.
By using HMU API, you agree not to use the service for any of the following:
Sending unsolicited bulk messages, automated mass submissions, or any form of spam to platform users.
Threatening, abusive, or harassing messages. Repeated unwanted contact after being blocked.
Content that violates any applicable law, promotes illegal activity, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
Attempting to circumvent rate limits, exploit vulnerabilities, impersonate other users, or interfere with the platform's operation.
Submissions are rate limited to 10 messages per sender per endpoint per 30-day rolling window. This limit applies per sender email address.
When you exceed the rate limit, the API returns a 429 status with a retry_after_seconds field indicating when you can send again. Attempting to circumvent rate limits will result in account suspension.
First-time senders must verify their email address before messages are delivered. A verification email is sent to the address provided in the submission. Messages from unverified senders are held until verification is completed.
Once verified, subsequent messages from the same email address are delivered immediately. Recipients can also mark senders as trusted to bypass verification entirely.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your profile, endpoints, and stored messages will be permanently removed.
